Dr. Steven Feder, DO FAAP, FACOP is a Board-Certified Pediatrician who has been practicing at Lincoln Medical Partners in Damariscotta, ME since 1998. Dr. Feder received his DO from the University of New England COM and completed his residency in Pediatrics from Boston City Hospital/Boston Medical Center in 1998. He is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Feder has practiced on an as needed (per diem) basis at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital periodically which sparked his desire to move and live here full time. He will serve as the Medical Director of Primary Care and the Patient Centered Medical Home within the Primary Care Practice which is comprised of Pediatrics, Family Practice, Primary Care and Nurse Practitioners. He will also maintain a pediatric clinical panel and will be moving to the Island with his wife Amy, and their family, in late September.
Amar Luzic, MD

Dr. Amar Luzic and his family will be joining as a full time Family Practice M.D. also in late August. Dr. Luzic received his training as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Sarajevo-Medical Faculty in Bosnia and is completing his Residency in Family Practice at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of the Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica New York which he will complete in July. Dr. Luzic served as a resident at MVH under the supervision of Dr. Henry Nieder in 2015. He and his wife Amina fell in love with Martha’s Vineyard and the Hospital. We are delighted he has chosen us as his place to live, work and raise his family.
Scott P. Simmons, MD

Dr. Scott Simmons, also in Family Practice, will begin full time after moving to the Island in late September with his wife Stacy. Dr. Simmons completed his Medical training at Rush Medical College in Chicago, his Internship and Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine from Boston University. He is currently in practice at Boston Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor where he oversees resident’s, medical students and fellows.
CEO Denise Schepici notes with current efforts at the Hospital to focus on access to primary care and reduce a wait list for Islanders without a primary care physician, these additions along with nurse practitioners added earlier in the year will expand capacity. We hope these additions to our team help us reach our goal of having no wait list by this Fall.
