Martha’s Vineyard Hospital is a proud member of Mass General Brigham and an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital. This close relationship allows our on-island community to receive world class care right at home.
Mass General Brigham, formerly known as Partners Healthcare, was founded in 1994 by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Mass General Brigham is an integrated health care system that offers patients a continuum of coordinated high-quality care. The system includes primary care and specialty physicians, community hospitals, the two founding academic medical centers, specialty facilities, community health centers, and other health-related entities. Mass General Brigham is a non-profit organization.
The mission of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital has always been to provide the health care services that can be delivered right here on the Vineyard, and to seamlessly connect our patients with those services which are not available on the Vineyard. Our affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital is an integral part of attaining that goal.
